Happy Birthday Author John Frederick

Robert or Cleone Reed

WOW! What a book by John Frederick! I wrote this review on April 26, and as a HAPPY BIRTHDAY to John, let's go for a repeat!

But first, let's add the newest review:

5.0 out of 5 stars  Great book, highly recommend.
Reviewed in the United States on July 31, 2021
I have just finished a book, StarCatcher, written by John Frederick. I recommend this book most strongly. I have worked in the entertainment industry for many years, beginning as a laborer and finishing my career as a Director of Photography. I have worked on feature films and hit television series. I received five Emmy nominations and one win for CSI in its beginning season. I have also been recognized by the American Society of Cinematographers with the Career Life-time Achievement Award. I have worked with many of the stars, directors, and producers that John Frederick so warmly, movingly (and accurately) describes. Beyond Hollywood, he also writes of sports, military, political, and historical figures in the same winning manner. StarCatcher was enjoyable, informative (with stories I had never heard before), entertaining book. I had a hard time putting it down, and I want to thank John for writing it.
PS I forgot to mention how funny some of the stories were.~ Mike O'Shea, ASC

StarCatcher gets all FIVE-STAR REVIEWS

One of my all-time favorite songs is "How Could Anyone Ever Tell You You Were Anything Less than Beautiful" (by Shaina Noll). When I think about John Frederick's book, StarCatcher, I think, How could anyone ever think this book is anything less than wonderful?

And the reviewers all agree with me. He has twenty five-star reviews on Amazon and four on Barnes and Noble. Every review is five stars!! And so rightly so. This book is one we at Robert D. Reed Publishers are very proud to have in our catalog.

Here is a condensed (somewhat anyway) list of some of his reviews:

5.0 out of 5 stars Intimate, first person accounts of celebrities we’ve loved, and thought we knew, for decades It is very well written and I especially loved its organization. I can open it up anywhere, read the serendipitously discovered essays with curiosity (“I wonder what will be in this one!”), and be richly rewarded. And I’m always tickled by the colorful facts like Ernest Borgnine’s first wife tearing up a photo of him after an argument and peeing on it (😂), and his long and patriotic support of the US Navy that he served with during WWII. Seriously, we could never find those little treasures anywhere else. Humanizing our heroes favorably is so valuable, and so important right now... ~ Richard Anderson

5.0 out of 5 stars An Intimate Journey Back to Hollywood's Golden Age What makes StarCatcher relaxingly entertaining is the author’s humorous and laid back writing style. You’ll wind up feeling like you have made a new friend in John Frederick, sitting alongside of him as the lights go down, the screen goes up, and the memories come alive. Frederick was there when they said it, and you’ll be right next to him, page after entertaining page of StarCatcher – A True Life Hollywood Fantasy. ~ Neil Scott
