The EQUUS Film and Arts Fest says: Every horse has a story; it’s our mission at the EQUUS Film & Arts Fest to share those stories, through film, art and literature.
What would the 21 horses in THE ALCHEMY OF HORSES who she said were her "Agents of Change: The Horses Who Rescued Me" say to Donna today if they could speak? I can visualize them galloping and jumping for joy!
Donna has a history with horses her whole life and has written five books:
1. The Complete Guide to Endurance Riding and Competition (1998)
2. The All-Around Horse and Rider (2004)
3. The Classic Western Rider (2006)
4. One Woman's Walk (1983)
5. The Alchemy of Horses (2024)
This, her latest book, The Alchemy of Horses, describes her relationships with several horses and how they were key in her healing from PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) stemming from trauma in her childhood. I, as her publisher, am not one bit surprised she won an award for her book. She is not only my best-selling author and an award winner, but she is my neighbor and friend. We have been neighbors for nine years, but I just met her when she learned about me and asked me to publish her book. I feel like a winner, too!
