Deal a Story, such a wonderful product, and we need your help getting the message out there! Creating such a unique product that does not fit in any standard category makes for a real marketing challenge. Our product, Deal a Story by Sue Viders, is a card game for writers. It is a great tool to overcome writer’s block, to stimulate ideas for stories, a way to jar the memory when writing one’s memoir, a fun game to play in improvisational groups, etc. Writing teachers and coaches would find this to be a gem of a find. Vendors at conference would have a new product to showcase.
But how do we get the word out there? It isn’t a book. It is a game, but a category on Amazon is “Toys and Games” and that brings up pages for children’s toys and games, not a good fit for Deal a Story.
Deal a Story does not have a category, a slot, in which to present itself! There is no category called “writer’s tools.” It has to be discovered by people talking about it!
“Six degrees of separation is the theory that everyone and everything is six or fewer steps away, by way of introduction, from any other person in the world, so that a chain of "a friend of a friend" statements can be made to connect any two people in a maximum of six steps.” (Wikepedia.org)
My hope is that everyone who reads this then shares it with someone who then shares it with someone else; and this product, Deal a Story, soon appears on people’s screens who want to be wholesalers: teachers, coaches, vendors at writing conferences, storekeepers looking for unique products, computer geeks who are marketing geniuses, etc.
At this moment in time, this product can be purchased through the author, Sue Viders; through us, the publishers, on our website; and on Amazon and on eBay.
Can you, or do you know someone who can, help us get the information about this product out there? Blog about Deal a Story, tweet about it, put it on your Facebook page, sell it and make money yourself, or share this opportunity with others who may want to be wholesalers!
As Alfred North Whitehead says, “No one who achieves success does so without the help of others. The wise and confident acknowledge this help with gratitude.”
We applaud you for helping us. Thank you for spreading the word about Deal a Story. We visualize the day when the all of the Deal a Story card games are sold and our garage feels the wondrous vacuum from where they are stored. We look forward to the excitement we will feel when we are all sold out and write our final royalty check to author Sue Viders for her ingenuity.
And maybe, dreaming big, just maybe some company will want to buy the rights for this product and take it to store shelves all over the country!
Again, thank you for reading this blog, for sharing it with others, and may all your writing goals manifest beyond your wildest dreams.
