This is Summer Belle's third book about sea creatures. (Her first two books were Laddie, the Lobster, Meets New Friends and Debi, the Dolphin, Leads the Way to Help Friends. This book, TIMMY, the TURTLE, it is about gathering a team to compete in a race. As with the other books, it is about friendship and supporting each other. This book, however, is also about being affectionate, resting when tired, being an observer, and finding ways to be helpful when not able to actually participate. When looking at the different sea creatures featured in this book, we can also see the subliminal message of the importance of accepting each other regardless of who we are or what we look like.
