Myrta Gschaar, who lived in New York at the time of the 9/11 attacks, lost her husband, Robert Gschaar, on that day that lives on in infamy for all Americans. Robert had just started a job as a senior commercial underwriter for the Aron Company and was working on the 92nd floor of Tower 2 in the World Trade Center when the second of two airplanes hit that tower.
Now more than two decades later, Myrta tells the story of her life and the tragic turn of events that unfolded on September 1 1, 2001, in her memoir entitled SILENT PAIN, SECOND CHANCES.
Myrta embodies the spirit of resilience and transformation. Her journey is a testament to overcoming life’s obstacles, including the heartaches of love and the seismic shift brought about by the 9/11 terrorist attacks. This pivotal event prompted Myrta to reflect deeply on her priorities and beliefs, igniting a profound personal change.
After navigating 22 years of loneliness, the challenges of Covid-19, and feelings of isolation, Myrta has emerged with a renewed sense of hope and faith. Embracing spirituality, she sought divine guidance for a second chance. On November 11, 2023, she joyously celebrated her love with Dusty. Their wedding marked not just a union, but a beautiful affirmation of new beginnings and gratitude for the second chances life offers.
