This is a groundbreaking resource for soon-to-be-released prisoners. MOTIVATE YOURSELF TO WEALTH: AN INMATES'S GUIDE TO PERSONAL FINANCE, written by Tom Wilmas, an inmate in a prison in Missouri, connects internal meaning with financial prosperity. It is a practical reference for the millions of inmates incarcerated in prisons and jails in the United States who are interested in rebuilding the life they have dreamed about.
This visionary book, page-for-page, introduces prisoners to the best proven system for preparing incarcerated adults to merge with society upon release while equipping them with a blueprint on finding their purpose and setting financial management goals that support that purpose. It also will help remove many myths that can keep ex-prisoners in invisible chains of economic impoverishment.
No matter where an ex-prisoner lands socially, economically, or geographically upon release, this economic road map will help them grasp the basics of capitalism, predatory lending, and building credit: creating multiple streams of income, to goal setting, stock market investing, and a whole lot more engaging money concerns relevant to men and women.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Tom Wilmas has spent over over 36 years in prison and came to prison suffering from alcoholism, substance abuse, and mental health disorders stemming from an abusive childhood. One of the primary factors underlying his behavioral and critical attitudes was financial mismanagement and ignorance about money and economics. As he himself has experienced a major transformation while in prison, becoming a devout Christian, he has been on a mission to help fellow inmates experience transformation through reform and personal development. He has received numerous commendations from Missouri lawmakers and correctional managers. His background includes writing more than a dozen prisoner rehabilitation and substance abuse treatment programs. He earned certification in personal money management from Fannie Mae. He founded from prison the first scholarship program to raise money for children whose parents were killed by violent crime (THE AMETHYST SCHOLARSHIP FUND), and he donates his writing talents to write grants for 501 (C) (3) organizations.
