About the Author: Lois Einhorn, Ph.D., is finishing her 33rdyear as a Professor of Communication at Binghamton University. Highly accomplished, she has published many articles and book chapters and six previous books including Compassionate Fairy Tales: A Mother Einhorn Collection. Dr. Einhorn has received many awards, honors, and grants—often the youngest then and since to receive these honors. She is most proud of four teaching awards and of an award by The World Forgiveness Alliance that honored her as a Heroine of Forgiveness, Reconciliation, and Peace. Previous winners of this award include Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Jr., Nelson Mandela and Desmond Tutu.

Professor Einhorn has been interested in Dr. Seuss since the age of three. She remembers hearing her first Seuss book, and has been enchanted ever since!
