ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Tom Wilmas, a prisoner in Missouri serving a life sentence has used his time in prison to transform his consciousness, heal, and inspire others. Serving as a mentor and rehabilitation program facilitator, he has received numerous commendations from Missouri lawmakers and correctional managers. In 2022, he was the first inmate in the U.S. to found a scholarship program called The Amethyst Scholarship Fund that raises tuition for orphans whose parents were killed by violent crime.
